- Target Nova Scotia is a partnership project. It represents the combined efforts and resources of several departments and agencies of the federal Government of Canada and the provincial Government of Nova Scotia, working together with local development organizations and private sector partners.

- TargetNovaScotia.com employs common data standards developed by the Council for Urban Economic Development (CUED) and the American Economic Development Council (AEDC) now the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). Consistent data means that a community in Nova Scotia can be compared to any other community in North America.
